Fernando Boto

Fernando Boto is MS in Computer Science (2001) and Ph.D. in Computer Science (2006) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) with his thesis on Document Digitization and Optical Character Recognition. He has experience in developing R & D projects funded by Basque Government, Spanish Goverment and the European Commission since 2001. He worked as a junior research in the UPV-EHU (2001-2005) and in Vicomtech-Ik4 (2005-2010) as a researcher in projects related to e-Health and Bioimaging. In July 2010, began his working experience in TECNALIA, where he is expanding his interest in the development of intelligent applications for the energy, industrial and logistics sector using techniques related with Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining. His research focuses on Intelligent Process monitoring and Control, Energy Efficiency and Resource Planning and Optimization. He has published several scientific articles, all in international conferences.
